The Lesson of Life "The Body Snatcher"

Life Quotes

To face the life in this world is very difficult. We certainly have problems in this world. And problems  come from the point of view of life, examining every side of a person's faith regardless of the status of one's life.

Some people say life is a problem. Problem is lesson. Without problems, we will not be able to get life lessons, and will not be able to deal with every life problems. So, we must be able to take a lesson from a problem even though it is other people's problems.

And in this time I will discuss about the life lessons that can be obtained from the story of "The Body Snatcher" which written by Robert Louis Stevensen in 1884.

Even the story of "The Body Snatcher" is a fictional story, in it the auther discussed a criminal case, where Professor K told Macferlane and Fettes to collect fresh corpses that have just been buried from a cemetery for anatomical material study.

The first lesson we can take is:

"Don't be easily tempted to do criminal things just because of money."

Many persons say everything needs money, but what we have to realize that money is not everything. With money we can buy our clothing, food and shelter. But, money cannot buy happiness. Moreover, we get the money in a criminal way without seeing side of humanity. So, don't expect to be able to get happiness but eventually get regrets. As had been experienced by the Fettes in the story of "The Body Snatcher" Even though he got a large amount of money, he could not feel the happiness of the money. He even felt remorse that was getting bigger and bigger. When he realized his mistake he was increasingly anxious and afraid. The more haunting it is to chase it as if it will ask for responsibility for what he had done.

The second we can conclude:

"That no matter how high our position and our title, even if it is a professor, it will not cover up the crimes committed and will be revealed later."
