        The Life Lesson of The Gift of Magi

1. Sacrifice 
    This story describes a sacrifice made by a     man to her loved ones.Even though, they       must give something that is valuable in         their own life. In this story was                        describing a man named James sells the        most valuable things he has, just to give a      gift to the woman he loves named Della.        Della's sold long hair that she owned as          the most valuable possession in her life, to    buy a gift for James.

2. Struggle
    This story describes a struggle between         Della and James. Della sold the long hair       she had to buy the golden watch.She               would give James for Christmas                       present.James also struggled to present a      Christmas gift to Della, He sold golden            watch he had to buy a comb.

3. Valuing others
   It's also depicted in the story. Because            these two couples value each other. This is    indicated by the effort of each one to give      happiness to her mate. Even though they      have to sacrifice the precious things.

4. Loving partner with sincerity
   It's an image in James' attitude that he            want to take on Della. Even though Della      doesn't have long beautiful hair anymore.    James still loved Della. This means that we    should love a couple by staying with the        shortcomings she has.

SYAHRUL MUKAROM 183211051 b.24 My opinion about the story is short tittle and very simple, but difficult to understanding it. I don’t know about a reason of the author to give tittle “b24”. This is make the reader ask about it, and make the story very interesting. The reader must know that we can take many moral messages from the story. About the law, injustice, and the rich. The parcipants of the story are Thief as suspected, Lady Mannering as a murderer, lord mannering as victim, and judge.       About the thief, although he was thief  because he have one reason and direction to do it. To continue he life, he have not the work that time. The Moral Values of RIP Van Winkle By : Washington Irving The moral values that I have seen from 'Rip Van Winkle story is that time goes on and things keep changing whether a person is there or not. In the story, Rip takes a 21 year nap, but time does not stop the world keeps changing. Even though Rip is not aware of all of the changes going on, its still happen. When he awakes, Rip finds that there are some changes that he likes. For example, when he was going to the place where there had been a school and asked the crowd that had gathered and somebody said that everything had changed and finally he found his daughter. There were also some changes he didn't like, such as his dog getting older and his children growing up although Rip Van Winkle had been upset because he missed many important events.
