            Bridge to Terabithia tells the story of a little boy named Jesse Aarons, an artistic but poor boy living on this family’s farm with his parents and four sisters. The book beginning with Jess's training to become his classroom's fasterst runner race. However, Leslie Burke a new girl actually defeated Jess in the running race. Jess's dislike of Leslie for this reason soon disappears though because Leslie an intelligant, imaginative, outgoing girl brought passion for her, and they are became friends.
One day Jess and Leslie ran to the empty field behind Leslie's house. It was sunny autumn day, Jess leaning back and enjoying the bright sky. Leslie talked to Jess that they needed a place that very secret and couldn’t tell anyone. Then Leslie said at the small forest, where people wouldn’t visit to ruin it. After finding a suitable place that couldn't go further into the forest, Leslie named their secret places Terabithia. Then they build the castle and used their new land as protection from life in school. When Christmas Jess took Leslie the puppy, They named him Prince Terrien and made him a guardian of Terabithia.
Day by day they passed with laughter, and joy. At the same time there was an unexpected tragedy, Leslie died. Jess's father told Jess, that some people found a girl on the river. The old rope used by Jess and Leslie to swing apart and something hit her head when she fell. But Jess didn't believe his father's words. After a while he believed it.
After that incident Jess looked at Terabithia, and hoping there was still Terabithia. He feels life is not the same anymore. Then he made a flower arrangement for the Queen's burial. A few days after school, Jess went to the house and took the wood to build the bridge to Terabithia. May Belle accompanied and when Jess finished, he gave a flower crown over the sister's head and took at the great bridges to Terabithia, which looked like just a few pieces of boards a cross an almost dry ditch. Then Jess said, “May Belle, you will be the queen that all Terabithia residents they are waiting for”.
