Brown Eyes

BROWN EYES

Every year, Peter and Susan reed go to Lea on Sea for their holiday. Every year they stay at the Hotel Vista. This year are their thirteenth visit to Lea on Sea.

They arrived at Hotel Vista on early Saturday morning. The hotel was very quiet, very friendly and the food is good. They met Mrs. Brown and ordered a cup of Coffee.

The door opened, and Mary, Mrs. Brown’s daughter looked in.

‘Hello’. She said to Susan. ‘And hello again’. She said to Peter.
‘Again?’ Peter said.
 ‘Yes. Don’t you remember? Yesterday, You said hello in the bank.’
 ‘Oh, y . . . yes!’ Peter said, and pretend to remember.

 Mary smiled. ‘I’ll see you  see you later,’ she said. ‘Goodbye!’
 ‘Goodbye,’ they said. Susan shut the door. Susan turned to Peter.
 ‘Why did you pretend?’ Susan asked.
 ‘I don’t know,’ peter said.

The sun was hot in the afternoon. They walked down to the sea. They swam. The water was cold. After that, they walked across to Connor’s coffee house. It was a small, quiet café near the sea.

The café! The place peter and Susan first met. They went back there every year. They opened the door and looked in. John Connor smiled.

 ‘Hello again!’ John said to Peter.
Peter started confused. Peter thought that there is A man pretend to be him, and consider it important, but Susan consider it trivial.

Later that evening, they walked down to the sea. And remember their first time met. Suddenly, Susan moved back and saw a man who is similar to Peter.

‘Run!’ Susan said. ‘We don’t want to lose him.’

They went back to hotel. They didn’t saw anyone in the hotel. Peter walked over to bed. He found a photo. He shouted. He gave Susan the photo, and she shouted back. 
‘But  it’s you and me!’ she said.

Suddenly, the door opened. And there he was, the man with peter face. And he had a gun in his hand. Peter looked at the man in horror. Peter was afraid of the man face! He had Peter’s nose, mouth, ears, hair…
It turned out he is Stephen Grigs, Susan’s partner fifteen years ago. He loves susan, but susan isn’t.

Stephen put the gun to Susan’s head. And he shot her. Then, suddenly, Stephen turned and hit peter’s head. And peter fainted.
After some time, peter opened her eyes again. Hearing there was a commotion, Mrs. Brown called the police.

Stephen opened his mask. And put the gun in peter’s hand. The police enter to peter’s room, and looked at the dead woman, and the gun in peter’s hand.

The Moral Values of RIP Van Winkle By : Washington Irving The moral values that I have seen from 'Rip Van Winkle story is that time goes on and things keep changing whether a person is there or not. In the story, Rip takes a 21 year nap, but time does not stop the world keeps changing. Even though Rip is not aware of all of the changes going on, its still happen. When he awakes, Rip finds that there are some changes that he likes. For example, when he was going to the place where there had been a school and asked the crowd that had gathered and somebody said that everything had changed and finally he found his daughter. There were also some changes he didn't like, such as his dog getting older and his children growing up although Rip Van Winkle had been upset because he missed many important events. SYAHRUL MUKAROM 183211051 b.24 My opinion about the story is short tittle and very simple, but difficult to understanding it. I don’t know about a reason of the author to give tittle “b24”. This is make the reader ask about it, and make the story very interesting. The reader must know that we can take many moral messages from the story. About the law, injustice, and the rich. The parcipants of the story are Thief as suspected, Lady Mannering as a murderer, lord mannering as victim, and judge.       About the thief, although he was thief  because he have one reason and direction to do it. To continue he life, he have not the work that time. He just thief not the other.      At the assembly the thief tell about the event step by step, one by one, but no one was listened and the judge not believed about explanation him, still to accused that murderer is him.      From the story we must know about injustice from the law. “blunt above,...
