Beauty and the Beast Story Fairy Tale – Bedtime Stories


           Once upon a time, there was a very rich man who lived with his three daughters. The two older daughters were so wicked and rude, whereas the youngest daughter, Beauty, was so good-hearted, obedient, and loved to read. Everyday her two older sisters always reviled her with hurtful words, and she received it by all her heart.
          One day, the father got some bad news. He had spent all of his money on a ship that he sent out to sea for trade. Now, he learned the ship was gone and everything on it was lost. All at once, the rich father became very poor. The family sold everything they had and moved to a little hut deep in the woods.
            Everything changed, the family had to work very hard, including the three daughters. But the two older daughters did not want to work at all and always told Beauty to do all the houseworks. They were so arrogant and told her to serve all their needs.
            In a beautiful day, the father had a good news that his ship came to shore. He asked his three daughters what gift they wanted because he was going to town.
“Bring me the best dress from the best shop in town,” said the oldest sister.
“I want one just like it,” said the middle sister.
Then, the father continued to ask Beauty what she wanted.
“A rose,” she said.
Her sisters laughed at her and thought that she was so foolish with her request.
            After that, the father went to the town and found the things that his daughters wanted. But he forgot the rose for Beauty. All at once, the sky turned black and heavy dark rains fell down hard from the sky. He was soaking wet and he saw a blink of light far away. He came to that light and found a very odd large palace with candles in all its windows. So he came in the palace because the front door was open. He found no one inside but there was a great feast on a long table and he touched no food on the table. He waited in front of the fire to warm himself but no one came. Then, he took a quick bite from the feast and found a bedroom and fell fast asleep. The next morning the table was laid again and full of breakfast. He felt so odd because no one was there, so he decided to leave the palace. On the way out, he passed a rose garden and he picked a rose for Beauty. Just then he found a scary beast angry with him because of the rose. The beast said that the father had to pay for it with his life. Then, the father begged the beast not to kill him, because he only took a rose for his daughter. And the beast told him to ask his daughter to replace him.
            The father went home, and he told his daughters what happened. Then Beauty decided to stay at the palace of the beast. At that palace, the days were long. There was no one for Beauty to talk to, and no book to read. Then one time at dinner, the beast asked her about her day, and she told him. One day the beast made a surprise for her and she got a room with shelves of books, a piano, and a cabinet of dresses just her size inside.
            Day by day their relationship was getting better and the beast proposed her but she rejected it. Many times he asked her the same questions and she always answered the same. One night, he asked her what he could do to make her happy and she said she wanted to meet her father.
            Then she went home and found her father sick knowing that Beauty was stuck in the palace, all because of him. Then she told her father that she was happy in that palace. On the day she should come back to the palace, her sisters pretended not to let her go because they had such a terrible days with their husbands. Then she stayed at her house one more day. At night, she dreamed that the beast was dying and at once she came back to the palace and found the beast really dying till died. She cried so hard and said that she loved him and she would be his wife. Just then the beast open his eyes and he changed to be a handsome prince. Beauty was so confused and she did not know what to think.
            Then the prince told her his story that years ago when he was a prince, an evil fairy had put a spell on him. He must stay a beast for forever, until a maiden grew to love him when he still looked like a beast. Now she had been the one who broke the spell.
            And so Beauty and her prince were married, and they lived happily ever after.

SYAHRUL MUKAROM 183211051 b.24 My opinion about the story is short tittle and very simple, but difficult to understanding it. I don’t know about a reason of the author to give tittle “b24”. This is make the reader ask about it, and make the story very interesting. The reader must know that we can take many moral messages from the story. About the law, injustice, and the rich. The parcipants of the story are Thief as suspected, Lady Mannering as a murderer, lord mannering as victim, and judge.       About the thief, although he was thief  because he have one reason and direction to do it. To continue he life, he have not the work that time. The Moral Values of RIP Van Winkle By : Washington Irving The moral values that I have seen from 'Rip Van Winkle story is that time goes on and things keep changing whether a person is there or not. In the story, Rip takes a 21 year nap, but time does not stop the world keeps changing. Even though Rip is not aware of all of the changes going on, its still happen. When he awakes, Rip finds that there are some changes that he likes. For example, when he was going to the place where there had been a school and asked the crowd that had gathered and somebody said that everything had changed and finally he found his daughter.
